Conergy's project development group has broken ground on a 725 kW photovoltaic system for T&P Farms in Arbuckle, Calif. The system will power T&P Farms' almond hulling and shelling operations, supplying T&P with 95% of the energy the company uses.
The project will be divided into two installations: one on the south face of a storage barn, and another on an elevated solar structure. Combined, the installations will feature 3,024 Conergy PM 240P W solar modules and 3.9 miles of mounting system rail.
The annual output is expected to be 1,138,280 kWh. Conergy is providing engineering, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance services.
