In an effort to focus its activities in the solar PV market, Conergy AG has sold its solar thermal business lines to ZEN International and partners.
The sale included Lille, Belgium-based Conergy BVBA – which is involved in the production of solar thermal collectors and the associated sales structure for Belgium and the Netherlands – and Breda, Netherlands-based Redenko BV, which sells heat pumps and district heating systems to its regional customers.
‘The sale is an important step in the restructuring program through which we are aligning Conergy with our core competence in the solar electricity business,’ says Dieter Ammer, Conergy's CEO. ‘This will reinforce our earning capacity, and we will soon be back on the road to success.’
