Conergy will design and build a new 8 MW solar power plant in the Philippines for RASLAG Corp., the renewable energy subsidiary of Angeles Power Inc.

The new plant, to be located 50 km from Manila, will incorporate approximately 30,000 panels.

Conergy says the deal for its second solar project in the Philippines will enable it to complete at least 30 MW of projects qualifying for government incentives by the end of the year. The Philippines government has a target of 16.2 GW of new renewable power capacity in the next 15 years.
