0

Consumers Energy, the principal subsidiary of CMS Energy, is seeking sources to supply 250 MW of capacity and 600,000 MWh of renewable energy annually for up to 20 years.

The invitation for bids for new renewable energy projects is part of the utility's plan to increase its green power supply to 10% by 2015 to meet the requirements of Michigan's new energy law.

The utility's request for proposals (RFP) offers independent renewable energy developers long-term power supply contracts of up to 20 years. A copy of the utility's RFP can be accessed at www.consumersenergy.com.
