Cooper Bussmann, a provider of circuit protection, power management and electrical safety products, has launched a new modular fuse holder for PV applications. The fuse holder is designed to accept the company's 10 x 38 range of 1-20 A PV fuse links, as well as to speed PV installations and save on space.
Manufactured from self-extinguishing UL 90V-0 rated polyester, and featuring an ultra-sonic welded body, the fuse holder boasts a 10% smaller footprint than previous versions, making it the smallest, most compact unit on the market, according to Cooper Bussmann.
DIN rail mounting requires no tools thanks to the built-in spring loading feature. The box lug cable terminal is supplied at its maximum aperture, which means that there is no need to loosen the terminal screw before tightening back up, the company adds.The wire strip length indicator on the body provides guidance on how far to strip back the cable insulation. All connections can then be secured by the captive, backed-out, phil-slot screw.
