Coronal Group LLC and Panasonic Eco Solutions have broken ground on a portfolio of eight solar photovoltaic projects in North Carolina with a total capacity of 37 MW.
Coronal says the development platform it has created with partner Panasonic for large-scale solar energy projects mitigates risk. Panasonic is overseeing the engineering, procurement and construction as well as the operations and maintenance of the assets, which are expected to generate 71.3 GWh of electricity per year.
‘The ability to develop a project 'soup to nuts' gives our project stakeholders a lot of confidence,’ says Danny Van Clief, executive vice president of Coronal Development Services." Whether it's a landowner, a utility or an equipment supplier, everyone takes comfort in the fact that the same team will control the project for its full lifecycle.’
