A Delaware court has approved the sale of two massive solar projects planned by now-bankrupt Solar Trust of America, the Wall Street Journal reports.
BrightSource Energy bid $10 million for the 500 MW Palen solar plant, and NextEra Energy bid $50 million for the 1 GW Blythe solar project, according to the Wall Street Journal. Both projects are under development in Riverside County, Calif.
Solar Trust of America filed for bankruptcy in April following the insolvency filing of its parent company, Germany-based Solar Millennium AG, last December.
