Cupertino Electric Inc.'s energy alternatives division has completed a 1 MW solar photovoltaic system at multiple Petaluma Joint High School District campuses in California.

The system, designed by Cupertino Electric, comprises two individual arrays mounted on parking lot canopies at Casa Grande High School and Petaluma High School.

The solar project's installation and financing contracts were overseen by TerraVerde Renewable Partners, which is also providing a grant to the district to educate teachers on how to integrate solar concepts into the district's math, science, construction and drafting curricula.
