Cypress Semiconductor Corp. and SunPower Corp. have made a joint donation of a 322 kW PV system to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo counties in California.
The SunPower system, valued at $1.1 million, will be installed at the nonprofit organization's headquarters, located on Curtner Ave. in San Jose. The installation is expected to save the food bank nearly $3 million over the 25-year life of the system.
