The California Air Resources Board (ARB) has awarded $235,000 to Davis Energy Group for an 80-unit demonstration project of its SunCache solar water heating system. With the grant, Davis Energy is seeking sites in Southern California to host no-cost solar thermal equipment.
As part of the ARB's Innovative Clean Air Technology program, this project will provide homeowners in Southern California with free SunCache systems and $500 toward installation costs. SunCache, which is manufactured and marketed by Harpiris Energy, uses polymers extensively to reduce material costs and a streamlined installation process to reduce installation costs.
Qualifying sites must be customers of either Southern California Gas Co. or San Diego Gas & Electric. To learn more about SunCache or to sign up for the demonstration program, visit www.harpiris.com.
