Day4 Energy Inc., a manufacturer of solar electric modules, has successfully completed the first phase of its manufacturing expansion, having installed production equipment at the company's Burnaby, B.C., facility.
The Phase I expansion, which adds 35 MW of output, is approximately 25% larger than the expansion originally planned by the company and increases total current annual production capacity to 47 MW – four times the company's Q4 2007 capacity of 12 MW.
Day4 Energy's Phase II expansion, which calls for an additional 50 MW of production capacity, is well underway, the company says.
