Germany-based Deger says vis solis GmbH has installed seven of its 6000NT-type DEGERtraker PV tracking systems at the Heritage Center of Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Tennessee.

The Oak Ridge scientific and technological laboratory, which operates under the authority of the U.S. Department of Energy, is involved in a research and development project with the German Energy Agency (dena).

The research uses the DEGERtrakers as part of dena's Solar Roofs Program. The systems will be integrated into research work involving the tracking system, solar module and inverter technologies. In addition, scientists at ORNL plan to conduct comparative measurements of tracking systems from DEGER and fixed-mount installations.
