DEGERenergie, a Germany-headquartered provider of solar tracker systems, has begun manufacturing its systems in Ontario in order to be compliant with the province's local-content rules for its Green Energy Act.
‘Foreign manufacturers willâ�¦ be able to operate in this market only if they relocate a significant part of their value creation there,’ says Artur Deger, CEO of DEGERenergie. ‘With this facility, we have already met the government's local-content conditions as required for 2011.’
The company says it has received its Declaration of Conformity for domestic-content requirements.
