Developers have broken ground on the Kalaeloa Solar One project, which is being built in a partnership between the State of Hawaii, Department of Hawaiian Home Lands and Keahole Solar Power (KSP).
Sopogy Inc., a provider of micro concentrating solar power technology, is supplying its proprietary solar thermal collectors for the 5 MW project. In September, KSP signed a lease agreement with the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands for the land on which the project is being built.
