DHL Supply Chain and DHL Global Forwarding have opened a European distribution center in Moerdijk, Netherlands, for solar panels manufactured in China. DHL says it will provide end-to-end supply-chain services, including transport, warehousing and fiscal services.
In addition, DHL's customs subsidiary Gerlach will manage customs clearance and fiscal representation for companies that do not have their own offices in Europe.
‘It is very important for Chinese companies to have a comprehensive solution for all elements of their supply chain and to have a partner that can respond quickly to changing market conditions,’ says Piak-hwee Tan, vice president of marketing and sales at DHL Global Forwarding China.
