Dominion Energy is adding a 150 MW solar facility in Prince George County, Va., representing the largest addition to the utility’s solar fleet.
The Fort Powhatan Solar facility is expected to be operational in 2021. Dominion Energy will own and operate the project and provide energy and renewable energy certificates to a data center under a long-term contract.
Today, Dominion Energy has more than 40 solar facilities, totaling more than 1.5 GW of generation, operational or under development in Virginia.
