Dow Corning has named Shuichi Fujii global major-market leader for feedstock and active-device products for its solar market business unit, which provides silicon-based solutions throughout the photovoltaic value chain. He will also be the solar market business unit team leader for Dow Corning Toray Co. Ltd., a joint venture of Dow Corning and Toray Industries formed to develop and market silicon-based materials and solutions in Japan.
Fujii joined Toray Silicone Co. Ltd. in 1982 in a sales role for the construction industry. He has held a variety of progressively responsible positions in sales and marketing in the automotive, electronics and rubber industries, as well as the photonics, compound semiconductor, plasma and solar markets.
