Inovateus Solar and Schneider Electric, working under general contractor Ameridian Specialty Services, have partnered to build the Yankee Solar Array, Dayton Power and Light Co.'s (DP&L) new 1.1 MW solar photovoltaic array.
The system, which comprises 9,120 Sharp thin-film solar modules, was built near the Yankee Substation in Washington Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. It uses Schletter racking and two Xantrex GT500E inverters.
Construction commenced in December 2009, and the system began operating in late March of this year.
