Draker Laboratories, a provider of turnkey solar photovoltaic monitoring, has introduced the Solar Prospector site assessment system.
Solar Prospector is designed for PV developers that need bankable energy projections to secure project financing, the company says. It allows stakeholders to better understand project risks and uncertainties through improved solar resource assessment at potential PV project sites.
According to Draker Labs, Solar Prospector features advanced meteorological instrumentation and a stand-alone data acquisition platform for capturing and recording site-specific environmental conditions including horizontal and tilted-plane irradiance, wind speed and ambient temperature.
The system can be either leased for the duration of the solar prospecting period or purchased from Draker.
