DRI Energy, an engineering, procurement and construction contractor, has completed the installation of two 30.1 kW PV systems for two new buildings anchoring Stanford University's Science and Engineering Quad in Stanford, Calif.

According to the company, the 60.2 kW rooftop solar installations will provide more than 2 million kWh of electricity over their lives. BP Solar provided nearly 300 of its 3215B 215 W modules for the project.

‘This project posed unique safety challenges for us,’ notes Jeff Messinger, director of safety at DRI Energy. ‘A highly safety-conscious crew and the in-house development and implementation of project-specific fall protection engineering controls were key to the success of the project and enabled us to complete it incident-free.’
