In a joint venture with its parent company, DST Systems, and affiliate DST Realty, customer communications and marketing firm DST Output has installed a 3.15-acre solar project on the rooftop of its 588,000 square-foot production facility in El Dorado Hills, Calif.
The installation is expected to produce 1.4 GWh annually, according to the company. It was installed using cylindrical solar modules from an unspecified manufacturer.
DST Output adds that it plans to apply for a net-metering agreement with Pacific Gas & Electric later this year.
