DuPont Apollo Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of DuPont, has signed two new contracts to supply solar projects in Thailand with a total of 22.75 MW of power generated by silicon-based thin-film PV modules.
The modules will be used for utility-scale solar projects in Chaiyaphum province and Saraburi province. The installations will be owned by Smart Green Energy and Infinite Green, respectively.
Thailand has in place a 10-Year Alternative Energy Development Plan to drive the national economy and build up national energy security in parallel from 2012 to 2021, DuPont Apollo notes. The country aims to attain a renewable energy mix of 25% of its overall energy consumption.
