Dyesol-Timo, Dyesol's Korean joint venture, has opened a pilot production plant in Seong Nam, South Korea, for the manufacture of glass-based dye solar cell products. Dyesol signed the JV agreement with Timo Technologies in September 2008.
The pilot facility is based on a series of proprietary processes, as well as assembly and test equipment, developed and provided by Dyesol. The companies say the pilot production plant will accelerate product development, testing and quality control systems, as well as allow dye solar cell demonstration projects to be undertaken in a number of selected locations.
