Dyesol Inc., a global supplier of dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) technology with operations in Ohio and California, says that delivery and installation of its DSC building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) fabrication equipment has been completed at the DyeTec Solar joint venture facility in Toledo, Ohio.
The equipment will be used to develop prototype DSC-based BIPV glass products and related equipment sets, laying the foundation for the future high-volume manufacturing capability of glass-based BIPV. Dyesol also expanded technical and managerial staff with DSC expertise to Ohio.
With support from the Ohio Third Frontier Fund, DyeTec Solar is a joint venture that will develop technology for the mass manufacture of glass-based BIPV, building-applied photovoltaics and automotive-integrated photovoltaic products.
