Dynamic Engineering Inc., a Houston-headquartered polysilicon technology and engineering firm, has added Dr. Kuyen Li to its Houston office. Li will be responsible for assisting Dynamic in development and optimization of manufacturing processes for chlorosilanes and silane. He has been consulting for Dynamic since 2007.
Li will continue to teach at Lamar University, where he has been since 1978. His prior research includes work on a JPL project with Dr. Carl Yaws from 1978-1986, when he conducted a feasibility study on production of low-cost silicon. Since that time, he has often been engaged as a technology specialist in evaluation of silicon production processes.
His consultant work includes leading chemical and electronic material companies such as DuPont, Bayer, BASF, Total, AlliedSignal, Lyondell Equistar, Huntsman, MEMC, Air Products and NAPT-Shunda Polysilicon. Li also performed environmental consultancy to the U.N. Development Programs in China in 1990 and has produced more than 80 publications.
