Emerson says it will supply utility-scale power inverters for two solar energy projects in California with a combined capacity of 70 MW.

Located about 60 miles southeast of Fresno, Calif., the larger of the two plants, which will have a capacity of 50 MW, is estimated to be complete by the end of the year. The smaller, 20 MW plant is expected to be completed in October.

The projects are owned and are being developed by two project company subsidiaries of GCL Solar Energy Inc. GCL selected Quanta Power Generation to provide the engineering, procurement and construction services for the project.
