Energy Conversion Devices Inc. (ECD) has appointed Christopher P. Belden to its board of directors, where he will help guide the company's photovoltaic-manufacturing equipment strategies as it expands production capacity.
Belden was most recently group vice president of global operations for Applied Materials, Inc., where he was responsible for volume manufacturing, supply chain management, reliability, quality and worldwide facilities. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of manufacturing for Motorola's semiconductor products sector.
