Enerqos SpA, an Italy-based supplier of large-scale solar plants, and HFV, a company that specializes in solar power investment, have signed an agreement for the construction of a 5 MW solar power station in Soleto, located in the Italian province of Lecce.
The investment, which totals approximately 15 million euros, will allow the installation to be completed and connected to the national grid by the end of the year, according to the companies. Enerqos will be in charge of all construction work, as well as operations and maintenance activities.
Once connected, the installation will produce 7,000 MWh each year, the companies note.
