Petaluma, Calif.-based Enphase Energy has launched the D380 TwinPack for commercial solar installations.
The D380 TwinPack comprises two Enphase Microinverters in a single enclosure and an innovative cabling system, which Enphase says reduces balance-of-system costs and installation time. According to the company, these reductions are achieved through a 50% reduction in the number of microinverter units and 33% fewer connections and junction boxes.
The D380 is currently undergoing field testing, with general availability scheduled for the first quarter of 2010.
