enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles company, has been contracted to develop, construct, own and operate a 1.8 MW solar photovoltaic array through an agreement with Hall's Corp. in South Plainfield, N.J. When completed, the solar array will be one of the largest net-metered installations in the U.S., the company says.

enXco will own and operate the system and supply the project's output to Hall's under a power purchase agreement on a net-metering basis. enXco will begin construction soon and expects the project will produce energy in early November 2008.

The roof-mounted, fixed-tilt solar array will consist of approximately 25,000 First Solar modules. Atlantic Solar Assets, a subsidiary of Clean Energy Holdings, co-developed the project with Vanguard Energy Partners LLC.
