eSolar, a producer of solar thermal power plants, has hired Dr. Craig Tyner as its senior vice president of engineering. He will lead the ongoing development of eSolar's technology.
Tyner, an energy engineering veteran with nearly 30 years of experience, was most recently manager of the licensing and intellectual property management department at Sandia National Laboratories. During his tenure at Sandia, Tyner managed solar and geothermal research and development programs, and conducted extensive research in solar power tower technology and solar chemistry.
