ET Solar Energy Corp. has started construction on an 8.4 MW ground-mounted solar power plant near the village of Bridgewater in Somerset. ET Solar has acquired the project rights from a local developer.
ET Solar is providing engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the project, which is expected to be grid-connected before the end of March. This will enable it to be accredited under 1.6 renewables obligation certificates.
In line with the company's target of developing 80 MW of capacity in the U.K. this year, ET Solar says it is in the process of acquiring another 8.4 MW project that would start in the middle of March.
