As part of an ongoing anti-dumping investigation, European Union (EU) officials have ordered customs personnel to begin registering solar modules imported from China. This step would allow the EU to apply tariffs retroactively if they are imposed.
Module registration is expected to begin this week and will last nine months, according to Bloomberg. Milan Nitzschke, president of EU ProSun, which filed the initial anti-dumping complaint, told Bloomberg that the registration is ‘a very important step.’
