Eyelit Inc., a manufacturing software provider for PV manufacturing operations and other industries, says a photovoltaic solar module manufacturer has purchased Eyelit's Solar Edition manufacturing software. The manufacturer's identity was not disclosed.
The software package consists of the Eyelit manufacturing execution system, statistical process control components, automation components, asset management components and quality management components. The deployment is intended to support the manufacturer's aggressive PV production ramp-up, Eyelit says.
After reviewing nine manufacturing management systems, the solar company selected Eyelit's Solar Edition because of its cost advantage, short implementation time, comprehensive system functionality, and a simple – but scalable – architecture, Eyelit adds.
