The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works and First Solar Inc. have reached an agreement on the installation of solar modules at the AV Solar Ranch One photovoltaic power plant, currently under construction in California's Antelope Valley region.
The agreement enables First Solar to continue construction activities of the 230 MW power plant, which is expected to be completed in 2013.
Installation of the modules had been delayed while First Solar and the department worked to achieve agreement regarding the module code certifications, First Solar says. Work on the project began in August 2011.
