First Solar Inc. has appointed Kathy Weiss vice president, government relations, based in New York. In this new position, Weiss is responsible for overseeing the development and advocacy of First Solar's public policy positions and will manage the company's state and federal affairs activities.
Most recently, Weiss served as vice president, government and public affairs, for Centex. Prior to this appointment, she served in government affairs and investor relations roles with MeadWestvaco and its predecessor Westvaco.
