First Solar Inc. has acquired a 100% stake in a 20 MW PV plant under development in Hagerstown, Md.
The project, which has a contract to sell electricity and renewable energy credits to FirstEnergy Solutions, is expected to start construction in the second quarter and be completed in the fourth quarter.
The installation will use First Solar's thin-film modules. Additional details on construction partners have not yet been announced.
