Law firm Perkins Coie has hired Arthur L. Haubenstock as a senior counsel in its environment, energy and resources practice.
Haubenstock, who will work at the firm's San Francisco and Washington, D.C., offices, was most recently vice president for regulatory affairs at solar thermal energy company BrightSource Energy, Inc., where he was responsible for a wide range of energy and environmental regulatory matters at the federal, state and local levels.
Prior to joining BrightSource in 2008, Haubenstock was an attorney for Pacific Gas and Electric, where he worked on matters pertaining to renewable energy, resource adequacy and market design at the California Independent System Operator Corp., California Public Utilities Commission and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Haubenstock previously served as assistant regional counsel for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region IX.
