Florida Power & Light (FPL) has dedicated its Sunshine Energy Solar Array, located at Rothenbach Park in Sarasota County, marking the successful completion of the largest solar power facility in Florida.
The project, which consists of 1,200 solar PV panels, was developed for FPL by MMA Renewable Ventures with financial support from Green Mountain Energy Co. The PV panels were manufactured by SunPower Corp., and the array was installed by Sunbelt Electric of Sarasota.
