GameChange Racking has developed a non-ballasted, non-penetrating roof-mounting system designed to handle severe seismic load conditions.
The Grid-Lite system consists of a galvanized steel alloy grid that locks the modules into one rigid plane. The assembly is equipped with a wind deflector technology to retard uplift forces.
GameChange says the combination of features enables the structure to withstand earthquakes while allowing deployment with minimal ballast under conditions of high wind loads.
‘This allows us to take account for many more modules that can share the wind uplift loads and lateral seismic loads,’ says Woo Kim, director of engineering at GameChange Racking.
