Gamesa, a Spain-based wind energy technology provider, has secured an order from renewable energy developer New Era Enviro for the development of 23 MW of solar for three projects sited in Telangana, India.

This is the company's second solar power order after breaking into the PV sector in July 2015 with a 10 MW project, also in India.

Gamesa will develop the three solar projects – a 5 MW, a 10 MW and an 8 MW plant – on a turnkey basis under the engineering, procurement and construction contract signed with New Era Enviro, which will provide the solar panels and structures.

The plants will be located in the towns of Bujarampet, Ellanthakunta and Mankondur, respectively, and are expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of this year.
