GE Solar Supplying Equipment To Invenergy PV Project

0

GE has entered into an agreement to supply 23 MW of solar equipment to Invenergy, which will install the equipment at its Grand Ridge solar project, now under construction in Illinois.

When completed midyear, the project will be the largest solar farm in the Midwest, according to the companies. The Grand Ridge solar site is located in La Salle County, Ill., adjacent to the company's Grand Ridge wind project.

In addition to supplying thin-film solar panels for Grand Ridge Solar, GE will supply packaged inverter skids that include Brilliance inverters, transformers and recombiners, as well as GE SunIQ plant controls. The SunIQ platform is designed to enhance the grid integration capability of the solar plant, according to GE.
