GEMCO Solar Inc., an Ontario-based solar developer and engineering, procurement and construction contractor, has begun commercial operation of a 500 kW rooftop solar photovoltaic system in Stratford, Ontario.
The PV facility is hosted on the rooftop of a building located at 533 Romeo St., owned by Advanced Design Solutions Inc. The project was built as part of GEMCO's roof lease program in partnership with Fovere Investments Inc. Ownership of the facility resides with a Fovere fund.
The installation, comprising 2,652 rooftop solar photovoltaic modules, is expected to generate approximately 766 MWh of electricity annually, GEMCO Solar says.
