Power electronics provider GPtech has inaugurated a sales-engineering office in Santiago, Chile. The new sales-engineering office will focus on both project services and technical approaches to grid issues, including grid impact and solar plant approval.
Last year, GPtech entered the Chilean market through its participation in Calama Solar 3, the first utility-scale PV plant in Chile. The company supplied inverters for this 1 MW array.
Additionally, GPtech aims to participate in working groups, such as partnerships with Federico Santamaria de Valparaiso University, Concepcion University, Chile University and Santiago University.
