Architectural engineering technology instructors Gene Wilson and Ed Abraham from Greenville Technical College in Greenville, S.C., will travel to the North Carolina Solar Center next month to become certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
According to Greenville Tech, the college will then become the Upstate Solar Training Center. Plans call for a certificate in solar PV and solar thermal to be offered this fall. In addition, green building science will be offered for the first time at the college this summer.
