The nonprofit Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA) has produced a new guide for state planners looking to set up successful Solarize community purchasing programs.
The CESA formed the New England Solar Cost-Reduction Partnership for the project, which was funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy's SunShot Initiative under the Rooftop Solar Challenge II program.
In addition to reviewing the benefits of community-based group solar purchasing, the guide profiles the Solarize Connecticut and Solarize Mass programs, which are regarded as successful implementations of the concept.
‘Planning and Implementing a Solarize Initiative: A Guide for State Program Managers’ is available here.
