GT Solar Inc., a Merrimack, N.H.-based provider of solar products, has elected Thomas Zarrella president, chief executive officer and director of its parent company, GT Solar International Inc.
‘Tom Zarrella joined GT Solar Inc. as president and chief operating officer in August of 2004, and has been instrumental in managing the company's growth in the global photovoltaic marketplace over the past two-and-a-half years,’ says Brad Forth, GT Solar International Inc.'s board chair. ‘During that time, he has positioned GT Solar as a leading worldwide supplier of photovoltaic equipment and services.’
Before joining the company, Zarrella served more than 25 years in the international operations of high technology manufacturing companies, including RWE Schott Solar. He also served in various management and engineering positions at the North American Operations of Instron Corp., and at Revere Corp.
