Hague Corp. has signed a binding letter of intent to purchase Solterra Renewable Technologies Inc., which is engaged in developing a novel thin-film quantum dot PV solar cell.
Solterra says it will be able to achieve a low manufacturing cost per watt through a proprietary production process developed by Dr. Michael Wong and his team at Rice University. The process results in the production of high-quality tetrapod quantum dots at a cost savings in excess of 95% when compared to existing production processes, the company says.
