Hanning Elektro-Werke GmbH & Co. KG, based in Oerlinghausen, Germany, has released new single- and dual-axis tracking systems.Â
The systems feature powerful asynchronous motors and special low-profile gearboxes made of high-quality materials designed to withstand high torques, and a high gear reduction of 3430:1 to ensure tracking with 0.5-degree accuracy, according to the company.
Three different asynchronous motors are available as system drives: a 400 V three-phase motor, a DC motor with a 115 V/230 V power supply, and a frequency-controlled three-phase motor with a 36 V DC supply.
The frequency-controlled version features a battery-powered emergency power supply that allows solar panels to be moved into a safe position after a power outage has occurred, the company adds. All drives can also be operated with frequency controls.
