Hanwha SolarOne Co. Ltd. says it has extended its materials and workmanship warranty from five years to 12 years for solar modules manufactured in China and replaced its three-step performance warranty with an improved, 25-year linear power warranty.
Under the new linear power warranty, Hanwha SolarOne guarantees no less than 97% of nominal power output for its typical polycrystalline PV modules and 96% of nominal power output for its typical monocrystalline modules in the first year, with a maximum annual output degradation of 0.7% for both thereafter.
